The bedroom was extremely cosy with adjustable lighting, thermostat, and a VERY comfortable double bed with the most nicest pillows - honestly, it was so comfortable! Not to mention the free Wi-Fi, and lots of charging points throughout including USB plugs too. The bathroom was clean, spacious, with multiple towels and wash products provided.

After arriving into central London, it took approximately 40 minutes to get to the Holiday Inn Express, Stratford. The journey consisted of hopping on the tube, boarding the Piccadilly Line (from Piccadilly Circus to Holborn), boarding the Central Line (from Holborn to Stratford), followed by an 11 minutes walk to the Holiday Inn Express, Stratford. The breakfast provided is an all-you-can-eat buffet consisting of: cakes, croissants, hot food (scrambled egg, sausages, beans, and bacon), toast, cereal, granola, yoghurt, fruit, and a selection of drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice, and milk).

The Holiday Inn Express, (Stratford, London), has a dinner service available to staying customers. The menus is medium sized, offering meals suitable for all dietary requirements. During my stay at the hotel, I wanted to experience the dining experience at least once. I went for the spinach, tomato, and cheese risotto with garlic bread. The price was reasonable, costing £12.50, and I LOVED it. It was extremely tasty. I even wanted to try recreate this one myself at home!

Facilities & Service

As shown above, there are numerous things to do in and around Stratford, London. So, the location is ideal for most things in London.

The staff were extremely helpful, especially when I had asked for directions and an ETA for the Copperbox Arena close by. It was my main purpose for the trip, and they had made it stress free, helping me with my travel options. The hotel facilities were all in working order, although I never needed to use the ironing facilities, the option was there should I want to use it. After I had used the standard amount of tea/coffee provided in the room, I was really impressed with the staff for stocking me up for the duration of my stay. I had asked in the first evening for extra tea, coffee, milk and sugar. They were happy to accommodate for the amount needed during my stay. I even had a few to take home with me, so that was a bonus!

Would I stay here again? ABSOLUTELY! A perfect, affordable stay in the heart of London. It was ideal from my purpose of travel. The staff were extremely helpful, going above and beyond to suit my needs. I really loved the room features of lighting, thermostat, and the most comfortable bed... I honestly did NOT want to leave. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Stratford, or even London in general as its not too far away from central. Overall, I would rate this hotel stay 4 out of 5 stars, based on the following rating system. Unfortunately, my room view was only partly 'nice' as down below is a school. Although, this did not matter during my weekend stay, I can imagine this may factor when staying during term time.
